Can you believe it?! My little guy is already one year old .*bittersweet tears* Where did my sweet, tiny, 6lbs baby go? He’s this huge, crazy tot now! Keeping me on my toes always and forever without a break… he is everything I never knew I wanted. This kid is so full of light, and he is so funny! I mean, I don’t really know how but he loves to make us laugh and has the most sarcastic little sense of humor. It’s hilarious, hahaha! For his one year old pictures, I tried (and failed miserably) to do a paint smash shoot, LOL! I had limited time and lack of materials to put it together. A lot of the things I needed had to be ordered and didn’t get here in time. Plus Lucas was not very cooperative. He refused to wear his bday hat, insisted on eating the paint, and started pulling apart the backdrop. Like I said earlier, he is a crazy and wild tot. He has been a little hurricane since he started walking at 10 months… *le sigh* These pics are the few best that I could get out of him!(Like, why does he look like a vampire with his heart ripped out??? LMAO!)
For his birthday celebration we decided to take him to Paris Disney. I know, I know. We must be insane to want to take a baby to a theme park, but honestly, what else can we do? We are all alone out here and it’s not exactly easy for our family and friends to catch a flight out to Germany for a birthday weekend (le sad face). If it were, everyone would do it! But anyhow, we braced ourselves and left.We were there for four nights, and we absolutely love Paris (this was our second time there), so we just took in the city and all its romance. The first visit was all about crossing off our bucket list, but this time we just wanted to enjoy the laissez faire of it all. I still have to do a post about our first time there. Paris has been my absolute favorite place in Europe–actually all of our French endeavors are my favorites! This visit was just to enjoy each other and our bear turning one. When we got to Disneyland, it wasn’t quite as horrible as I thought it’d be. I mean I expected meltdowns, fear, clinginess, you know… all the horrible things parents say when they take a baby to a theme park for an entire day. Lucas actually did ok, considering he woke up with a minor cold. I thought for sure our day would have gone to crap. Eeek! He was a little fussy here and there, but nothing too chaotic. He took a nap, we did some shopping, he rode a few rides, and saw the parade. Much to our delight, he was a trooper and enjoyed all the sights and sounds and play. Daddy was a baby-hogger, though, and I thought i’d be much happier with the much needed break, but I think I was just subconsciously missing my tiny 6lbs newborn baby all day long, lol.
Honestly though, how cute is this kid?! Happy birthday to the sweetest, cuddliest, funniest, most curious little bear a girl could ever want!
